Welcome!

I started this blog to explore my thoughts about living life with purpose and passion.  Many times we find ourselves asking, "What am I doing?" or "Why am I here?", and for some, we can spend our entire lives trying to discover the reason why God put us here.

Until recently, I felt like I had lost that purpose of living. That is, before I was introduced to a group of individuals called The Hope Express. The Hope Express is a 135-mile run created to bridge the gap between the families on the 7th floor at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA and the dancers at the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (aka THON), a year round fundraising event benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund, conquering childhood cancer.

I have been involved with THON since 2007, and since then it has become a passion of mine. I was chosen as a dancer in 2009, and as my organization's THON chair in 2010. Following my tenure as chair and graduation, I felt like I lost sight on why God had put me on Earth. Fortunately for me, I found The Hope Express.

Being able to be a part of something like this was an experience like no other that I will be forever thankful for. In less than 24 hours, and 135 miles later, these strangers have become a part of my family.

I was awe-inspired and completely lost for words on what this amazing group can do when there are no limits. The Hope Express brought me back to life. The Hope Express has given me purpose again.
